Queen Elizabeth the Second held a private ceremony at Buckingham Palace, “knighting” Angelina Jolie as Dame Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George.

The famous actress received the title of Dame for her efforts against sexual violence in warzones and her work in British foreign affairs.

Jolie’s name was on the list of 2014 winners of Britain’s diplomatic service.
