Kailash Styarti will share the prize money that comes with the Nobel Prize, worth 1.1 million dollars, with the 17 year old Pakistani Malala Yousafzai , the face of which reflects the global campaign against terrorism, illiteracy and poverty.
60 year old Styarti has helped to save over 80.000 children at risk of slavery, trafficking and economic exploitation, in the last three decades. After giving up his career as an electrical engineer in 1980, he led a movement for the constitutional right of children of India to have free and compulsory education.
