Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos met today with former Swedish Prime Minister Göran Persson, according to a ministry announcement.
Venizelos briefed Persson on the state of the Greek economy and the efforts Greece is making to exit the crisis.
Mr. Persson, who, as Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Sweden, successfully handled his country’s economic crisis in the 1990s, praised the Greek government for its reforms and fiscal achievements.
The two officials also talked about the main issues the European Union and the Eurozone are facing, as well as the latest international developments.
