Athens Stock Exchange: Decline

Of the stocks traded, 37 were up, 17 were down and 18 were unchanged.

Equity prices dropped on Thursday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) with the basic share price index down by 0.5% at 884.53 points at 11.00 a.m.and turnover at 28.115 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks decreased by 0.72%, while the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was up 1.07%.

The biggest gains on individual sector indices were in Financials (up 2.22%), Health (up 2.04%) and Chemicals (up 1.88%). The biggest losses were in Telecoms (down 1.29%), Food (down 0.84%) and Construction (down 0.79%).
