In talks with foreign leaders held on the sidelines of the EU-Asia Summit Meeting on Thursday in Milan, Prime Minister Antonis Samaras raised the issue of undocumented migration and the pressures imposed on Greece.

According to sources from the Greek Government, the Prime Minister underlined that Greece and other Mediterranean countries bear the heaviest burden and noted that undocumented migration is a security issue that requires immediate action.

Mr. Samaras also linked the issue of undocumented migration with the economic crisis and the social tension, stressing the need to establish procedures of migrant repatriation. It should be noted that many countries where the main migrant flows come from were present at the summit.
