Many citizens of Athens use buses and trolleys on a daily basis, either to go to work or for a walk. However, not all bus stops have benches where people can sit and wait their bus. Instead, they have to wait standing on the pavement exposed also to sun and rain. This is why Atenistas decided to take action again and place benches in five bus stops decorating and painting them in an unusual but very beautiful way.

The Atenistas is an initiative of citizens who live and love Athens and believe that all citizens should actively take part in the “restoration” of their town highlighting the beauties and potentials of Athens.
