Whiz kid scoops robotics prize for creating 3D printer

14-year-old Dimitris Hatzis managed to beat others twice his age at the 5th Festival of Industrial Computing

Newsroom October 22 07:05

14-year-old Dimitris Hatzis received the 2nd prize of the 5th Festival of Industrial Computing for creating a 3D printer from scratch. The young whiz kid from Kavala left everyone speechless. Initially, he wanted to create an artificial limb but found that he didn’t have enough money for the endeavour so he created the printer instead, beating others twice his age at the fair.

He has already started working on his next project that he plans to present at the 6th Festival of Industrial Computing but refuses to say what he plans to create. The only thing he has said so far is that he’ll need a bigger room!
