Equity prices rose on the Athens Stock Exchange on Wednesday, with the basic share price index increased by 0.98%, standing at 968.12 points at 11.00 a.m. and a turnover at 26.98 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.87%, and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was also up 0.30%.

On individual sector indices, Financials and Real Estate decreased, posting losses of 0.13% and 0.05% respectively. The biggest gains were in Telecoms (up 2.54%), Raw Materials (up 1.76%) and Personal & Household (up 1.26%).
