Greek Minister of Environment and Energy Mr. Yiannis Maniatis while visiting US, will meet with members of the US government and entrepreneurs from the energy sector, on the issue of research and exploitation of hydrocarbons in Greece.

Mr. Maniatis will visit Washington on Sunday and then New York. More specifically he has a scheduled meeting with the US Minister of Energy Mr. Ernest Moniz and the Deputy

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms Catherine Novelli as well as a group of entrepreneurs of oil companies.

Further among others during the Greek Ministers visit in the US, he will deliver two lectures: one on the Center for Strategic and International Studies on the energy outlook of the Eastern Mediterranean and the second at Columbia University in New York, while he will also meet with a major Greek investor in energy efficiency projects, upgrades and energy saving Mr. George Sakellaris, to discuss the “call” for investors to fund the project to upgrade the country’s infrastructure.
