Reductions of ENFIA tax, income companies announced Deputy Minister of Finance G. Mavraganis announced reductions of ENFIA, income and businesses - Car traffic charges in monthly payments for 2015 for those getting back number plates

Deputy Minister of Finance announced for the year 2015 the end of criminal prosecutions for those unable to pay their taxes as well as the end of presumptions.

While speaking at the tax conference in Thessaloniki Mr. Mavraganis characterized as  “Greek particularity” the criminalization of non-payment of debts to the Greek State.

He emphasized that in the immediate future and in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, there will be changes in the criminal provisions for tax offenses.

According to reports, there will be no prosecutions for debts to the IRS, but this will not apply to withholding taxes (VAT etc) which will be paid as normally.

Further, according to Mr. Mavraganis also on the way are:

– Abolition of presumptions

-ENFIA reduction

– Consideration of the possibility of converting ENFIA to municipality income
