An ISIS training video shows a young blonde-haired boy, barely five, running through the streets of Syria with a pellet gun. He dodges pretend enemy fire as he moves from post to post as though he were playing an innocent game of cowboys and Indians or cops and robbers. But the young boy isn’t playing games, he is being trained by Islamic Militants so that he knows how to fight when the time is right.
Activist group, “Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently”, shared the chilling video to show evidence of the violence imposed by jihadists. “This video is yet more evidence of the Islamic State seeking to indoctrinate children from a very young age in an attempt to entrench its hold over the region,” said Charlie Winter, a spokesman for the Quilliam Foundation Think Tank. “Such footage is worrying, in particular because it renders apparent the fact that IS’ legacy will be long-term, even if it was to collapse tomorrow.”
