According to the General Staff of National Defense, the Turkish corvette “Büyükada” was sailing away for a whole 13 hours near to our Greek islands and entered Greek territorial waters in early hours on Tuesday around 3 am.
At 16:30 in the afternoon the Turkish corvette was captured while sailing between the Greek islands of Ios and Santorini from the captain and CEO of K2 SmartJets Mr. A. Karotsieris, who at the time was flying above.
Later on “Büyükada” entered Greek territorial waters between Evia and Andros, while continue its course between Kea and Kithnos in a short distance of Greek coast.
Around midday the Turkish corvette was sailing openly of Milos and had already completed 9 hours in the Greek waters.
Further, just before 16:30 was sailing between Ios and Santorini which is when the captain managed to take the photo.
Ships of the Greek Navy have been and still follow the Turkish corvette.
