A 27-year-old young woman kidnapped from the Athens suburb of Kypseli on at 10.30 p.m. on October 31 is safe with her family following the payment of an 82,500-euro ransom. Initially, her captives had sought 100,000 euros but the amount was lowered following negotiations.
The abductors had contacted the woman’s family three days after her disappearance. Six to seven telephone calls were made to talk about the ransom money and return of the woman who was freed at 11 a.m. on Sunday morning. The police are currently investigating the abduction and are seeking members from the woman’s professional and personal circle.
