For the 8th time on a row Norway remains at the top of the list of the most prosperous countries, published by the Legatum Insitute.

The Scandinavian State  ranks first in the list of 142 countries, which represent 96% of the world population and 99% of global GDP.

Greece holds the 59th position, which is lower than countries such as Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

Prosperity index examines States based on 89 different economic variables that are covering their success in areas such as industry, education, health, freedom, opportunities and social capital.

Among the  30 leading countries, nearly two thirds are European. US is in 10th place, Britain in the 13th and Germany at the 14th place.
