Unemployment dropped to 25.9%

Current amount of unemployed people in Greece is now 1.242.219 which is 121.186 people less compare to August 2013(-8.3%) or 20.395 less compare to July of 2014 (-1.6%)

According to Hellenic Statistical Authority unemployment in Greece dropped to 25.9%. A significant but yet not enough fall compare to the 27.8% of August 2013 and the 26.1% of July 2014.

Current amount of unemployment people in Greece is now 1.242.219 which is 121.186 people less compare to August 2013(-8.3%) or 20.395 less compare to July of 2014 (-1.6%).

On the other hand the economically inactive, meaning  people who are not working nor looking for work increased by 29,196 people compared with August of 2013 (+ 0.9%) and 31. 709 people compare with July 2014 (+ 1.0% ) and reached 3.334.759 people.

The highest unemployment percentage is still recorded at ages 15-24, although showed a defuse to 49.3% from 58.6% in August of 2013. For the ages 25-34 unemployment fell to 32.7% from 37. 7%.
