Following his election Chief of Defense General Michalis Kostarakis received numerous amount of congratulatory phone calls messages and e-mails for his significant success.

However, there were a few people that were not so thrilled.

The General posted a message on twitter to those who got … disappointed  with his election, saying “All those surprised and disappointed by my election have my understanding and sympathy. It is only human”.

Of course in a next message he also thanked everyone for their warm wishes and congratulates.

The Chief of Defense assume duties as the new chairman of European Union Military Committee (EUMC) in a year’s time, the November of 2015.
