British Rolls-Royce, now under BMW’s “umbrella”, created the Maharaja Phantom Drophead Coupe. It was presented at an event in Rolls-Royce’s Dubai dealership and will be exclusively sold to the emirate’s residents. As if anyone else could buy it…
The inspiration for the excessive Phantom Drophead Coupe was the golden age of Dharma Raja, a maharaja of the Indian kingdom of Travancore. Rolls-Royce has a special relation with maharajas and Indian princes, since within only 5 decades, they had bought more than 840 cars of the luxurious brand.
Rolls-Royce designers and engineers needed 2 years to make this unique edition. The Indian community in Dubai is the one that has shown the greatest interest in the four door model, which overflows in leather and wood details.
