According to World Health Organization the large decrease of incidence in Monrovia, Liberia's capital is not indicative of the whole country

Newsroom November 15 10:00

Total deaths from the epidemic virus of Ebola reached 5177 from a total of 14.413 cases in eight countries around the world.

The results of the World Health Organization report  based on the above figures indicate that since Wednesday another 17 people have died.

From the total  5177 deaths, 1187 were recorded in Sierra Leone, 116 in Guinea and 2812 in Liberia.

The WHO warned against the relaxation of efforts to combat the epidemic in Liberia, which lifted the state of emergency after the reduction of cases in the country which was most affected by the epidemic.

General Director of the World Health Organization following his visit to the Liberia announced that the large decrease of  incidence in Monrovia, Liberia’s capital is not indicative of the whole country and added that: ” “Despite the optimism expressed, does not mean that the epidemic of Ebola virus is under control in Liberia”.
