A strict message to Athens was sent today by the European Commission, 24 hours after the “ultimatum” to the Greek government on the fulfillment of memorandum obligations.
The European Commission representative, Mina Andreeva, speaking during the regular press briefing in Brussels, connected the Troika’s return to Athens and the completion of the evaluation, with the beginning of the talk about exiting the Memorandum.
As she noted, the discussion on the “post-memorandum era” will begin only when there is an agreement with the troika on the fulfillment of the current evaluation.
Ms. Andreeva also replied that the talks with Greek authorities are ongoing, until the Commission receives satisfactory responses on a series of political actions. She reiterated that the goal is the successful completion of the current evaluation.
