Jerusalem: Four dead in terror attack at a synagogue (Photos + Video)

The two men who attacked the worshippers are also dead

Newsroom November 18 10:45

At least four men lost their lives in a terror attack that took place at a synagogue in Jerusalem on Tuesday morning while eight more worshippers were injured, according to reports of the Israeli media.

The two Palestinian assailants who reportedly attacked the worshippers with axes, knives and pistols are also dead, bringing the death toll to six.

The terrorist attack took place on Tuesday morning, when there were approximately 20 men praying in the synagogue. According to Israeli Police, the two Palestinian assailants stormed into the synagogue holding axes, cleavers and knives and attacked the worshippers.

When the Israeli police arrived it was already too late, eye witnesses said. Upon their arrival, the police surrounded the area and managed to kill the attackers in a shootout.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to respond to respond harshly to the brutal murder.

A few minutes after the news of the attack broke, Hamas praised the synagogue attack as a ‘heroic act’ in a statement, saying it was a ‘response to continued Israeli crimes’. It also called for a continuation of these ‘heroic attacks’.
