Equity prices rose on Wednesday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 1.36% at 928.69 unit points at 11.00 am, and turnover at 7.33 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks increased by 1.39%, and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was also up 0.70%.

On individual sector indices, the biggest gains were in Media (+8.59 percent), Telecoms (+1.56 percent) and Commerce (+1.37 percent). The biggest losses were in Travel & Leisure (-0.90 percent) and Construction (-0.90 percent).
