Many years have passed since 1964, when the first Pirelli calendar was released, causing a sensation with its steamy nudes and provocative full-frontals. Since then, many things have changed in relation to the aesthetic standards of society and also the criteria for the selection of the models and the photographers commissioned to produce the images used.

For the 42nd edition of the iconic calendar, legendary photographer Steven Meisel captured a list of some of the most beautiful and sensual women in the world, including Joan Smalls, Adriana Lima, Natalia Vodianova and Gigi Hadid, drawing inspiration from the pin-up aesthetics.
