15 Italian tourism operators had the change to get to know Epirus, in Greece, after an initiative by the Office of Tourism of Italy and the Epirus Prefecture.

They noted that they consider it a given that they will include Epirus in their tourism packets next year.

The main purpose of the trip was to promote Hellenic tourist destinations, which are more or less unknown to Italians. The trip is the first amongst a series of trips that the Italian tourism board is planning for Greece in order to promote the “discovery of the Other Greece” (Alla scoperta dell’ insolita Grecia).

During the trip, the Italians visited Ioannina, Tzoumerka, Zagori, Metsovo and Syvota.
