A two hour meeting between the Greek President of the Republic and the Minister of Defense was held earlier on today at the Ministry.

Mr. Karolos Papoulias was briefed by Mr. Nikos Dendias for all critical issues of the ministry of Defense.

The President of the Republic praised both men and women of  Greek Armed Forces and expressed his gratitude to Mr. Dendias and the whole military leadership for the invitation, which as he stated “was a very interesting visit”.

Among other, Mr. Papoulias stressed that ” “The Greek Armed Forces have a high level of training and preparedness, and this is very important for the security of the country and the defense of our national interests and territorial integrity”.
