The island of Mikri Lesvos (Small Lesvos) is presented as a special Christmas gift for someone “who loves fresh fish, olive oil and the fresh air of the Aegean”, by a real estate agent’s office which has undertaken the island owner’s intent to sell.
The island, known locally as Pamphilos, is 65 acres big, and is being sold for 800,000 euros, a price which, according to the Daily Mail, is smaller than a two-bedroom London apartment!
It is the first time that the island is advertised internationally. Its sale is undertaken by Vladi Private Islands, based in Hamburg Germany, with offices in New Zealand, Canada and China.
Such opportunities are very rare, says the agency.
“It is a very special island. Its waters are clear and calm. Fresh water can be acquired by installing rainwater collection facilities or through a desalinization system”, said an agency representative.
