The 24-year-old Albanian dancer Konstandina whose rejection prompted 31-year-old Alber Bako to go to the club with a kalashnikov for a bar shootout says that the memory of November 22 has scarred her for life. She works at the bar in Piraeus as a dancer and she and a friend sat at a table between dance sets at 3 a.m. near the table that Bak sat with another two men. He ordered drinks for the girls that Konstandina thanked him for but said she didn’t drink.
After politely refusing his propositions she went to the bar and got ready for her next dance set at 4 a.m. in the morning. The 31-year-old gunman’s friends tried to get him out of the bar, however he didn’t budge. Finally he left and returned with a kalashnikov, injuring 15 people.
The event took place while Konstandina was changing. Her friend ran in to tell her what was going on and they stayed there until the incident was over. “I still can’t believe what happened. We learnt that the gunman was the person who had approached us earlier,” she said.
