Passenger traffic in El. Venizelos airport notes high rates.

A combination of economic recovery, low cost airline flights and the continuous demand for Athens has kept passenger traffic  at high levels for the season.

According to official data November had a27.4% increase compare to the same time last year.

Passenger traffic in November for the first time in five years exceeded the 1 million. More specifically reached the 1.038.534 passengers.

Passengers of domestic flights continued to increase impressively to 38%7%, meaning 391.529 passengers compare to 282.329 of last year.

Passengers from abroad also continue to increase steadily. During November the increase touched the 21.4%, meaning 647.005 passengers compare to 533.125 of last year.

At the same time Athens continues to be one of the top destinations. The upward trend in passenger traffic is expected to continue during the festive month of  December.
