The growth of the tourism sector in Greece continues and all the data show that the reforms in the specific industry have managed to boost tourism arrivals in many parts of the country.

Based on statistical data on travelers from Germany, 2014 has been a highly successful year for Greek tourism.

“No other country has achieved such high growth in 2014,” says Norbert Fiebig, the President of the German Travel Association (DRV).

Moreover, based on the data of the German Statistical Office 2.06 million tourists flew from Germany to Greece from April-October 2014, marking a 18.6% increase compared to 2013 (1,86 million).

The islands of Crete, Rhodes and Kos were the most popular choices for German travelers in 2014.
