Improved weather conditions were noted on Saturday with a rise in temperature. There were scattered clouds with sunshine and wind velocity at 7 on the Beaufort scale. Similar weather was noted in eastern parts of the country with temperatures between 9-14C. Wind velocity in Athens reached 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale. Saturday night will have clear to partly cloudy skies. Winds will be light and variable.

On Sunday, local showers are forecast for the western and northern parts of Greece. Snow is expected in mountain regions. Rains are expected in the east as well as over islands. There may be storms in the evening, while temperatures may rise slightly in the south. Temperatures will be 14C in Athens and 12C in Thessaloniki.

There will be cloudy skies early that will become partly cloudy later in the day with winds at 10 to 15  mph. On Sunday night there will be increased clouds and showers developing later at night. Continued very cold temperatures.
