German Die Welt newspaper reports that Greeks are becoming more concerned about the financial crisis and that this is reflected by the fact that a total of 2.5 billion euros was withdrawn from Greek banks in December 2014.
The German newspaper said that “the ongoing mini-capital flight is unusual and it is explained by the citizens’ major concern for the January 25 snap elections.” The newspaper said that the trend that resulted in money being withdrawn had started in November.
