The wave of extreme weather over recent days has created a lot of problems in Greece, especially in the northern regions of the country.

However, apart from the power cuts and the traffic difficulties caused by the snow, the nature transformation brought about by the adverse conditions caused the admiration of many Greeks, who rushed to photograph the frozen rivers, lakes and the cities covered in snow.

One of these photos, showing the frozen river Venetikos, which is located close to the border between Trikala and Grevena prefectures in Northern Greece is simply amazing.

It should be noted that even the locals are reportedly left speechless by this extremely rare sight.
