What happens when political opponents travel on the same plane?

A picture is worth a thousand words

Newsroom January 21 11:05

Main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras crossed paths yesterday with Greek Communist Party’s General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoubas, as the two party leaders were travelling to Thessaloniki on the same flight.

In fact, the two leftist politicians were sitting very close to each other, as a photograph published by Ta Nea newspaper shows. Although it is not known whether the two men exchanged any kind of greeting, it is obvious from the pic that they are both deep in their thoughts, probably contemplating their next move in the election race.

It is reminded that yesterday, SYRIZA spokesman Panos Skourletis stated that KKE was “committing a historic mistake” by refusing to collaborate with SYRIZA and by putting on equal standing New Democracy with the main opposition party.

Apart from the leftist party leaders, another two political opponents met yesterday on air, namely To Potami head Stavros Theodorakis and former PM and newly-formed KIDISO founder George Panandreou.

The two men flew together from Ioannina to Athens but, according to information, they did not exchange a single word for the duration of the flight.
