The Independent newspaper profiled Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) leader Alexis Tsipras as a communist “Harry Potter” that could implode the Eurozone. The article referred to Mr. Tsipras’ religious beliefs and was mainly based on comments made by socialist PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos. The article concluded by describing Greece — based on a single statement by one woman more-or-less described as addicted to cheap street drugs — as a place where “some women (are) forced to sell their bodies for just five euros.”
