Commenting on the exit poll results that suggest a clear victory of SYRIZA, the leftist party’s chief economist Giannis Milios told ANA-MPA on Sunday evening that today marks a “historic victory of the Greek people.”

“Our country turns a new page. The Greek people take their future into their own hands,” SYRIZA economic policy sector head underlined.

“The government of SYRIZA, the government of national salvation, is the government that will promote and defend the interests of social majority. However, this must not be viewed just a message, but also as the beginning of a major change for the entire Europe. Europe cannot go on with the deflation, the recession, the rising unemployment and the excessive debt. Greece leads the way, our country and our people are the pioneers of an enormous change,” he added.
