German socialist and President of European Parliament Martin Schulz will visit Greece on Thursday and will meet with the new Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
The meeting will be held at 15:00pm Thursday at the Maximos Mansion.
Yesterday, the European Parliament President congratulated Mr. Tsipras over the phone and announced his arrival to Greece, right after the new government’s oath and prior to the meeting with the German Chancellor.
He spoke of a “historic victory” and a “great success of SYRIZA”, while he assured that he will do everything within his power in order “to find a mutual solution”.
Earlier today, Martin Schulz stressed during an interview that Alexis Tsipras must make compromises with European partners and that he is “well aware of it”.
