Artist and illustrator Damon Hellandbrand completed a series of works in 2013, featuring a slightly darker version of the signs of the zodiac than the ones we are used to.

The series of 12 illustrations depicting zodiac signs as scary monsters has recently gone viral.

Speaking to news.com.au Hellandbrand said he wanted to create something that relates to everyone and to combine his interest in anatomy. As for his sun sign? He is a proud Aquarius.
