Elafonissi among world’s top 10 beaches

Egremni at 9, Balos at 12

According to ANSAmed Greek Elafonissi beach, near Hania on Crete island, has ranked among the world’s top 10 beaches, as shown by a recent survey conducted by international travel website Tripadvisor. Elafonissi placed at number 10 in the world and number 3 in Europe.

Three more Greek beaches made it in Europe’s top 25: Egremni on Lekfada at number 9, Balos in Hania at number 12 and Aghios Pavlos on Rhodes. The results of the survey of millions of users around the world were announced on Wednesday in the US. The fifth most popular beach in Greece is Navagio on Zakynthos.
