Thessaloniki has been included in a shortlist of 15 of Europe’s best cities to run for the title of “InterRail Destination of the Year Award 2015”. The competition, launched by InterRail, gives those who participate in the voting a chance to win a 2^nd-class Interrail Global Pass for five days within a 22-day period (valid until December 31, 2015).

The cities nominated and their percentage votes so far are Heidelberg (17%), Lisbon (12%), Antwerp (12%), Ljublijana (10%), Porto (9%), Oslo (7%), Rotterdam (6%), Bologna (5%), Thessaloniki (5%), Zagreb (5%), Valencia (4%), Leipzig (3%), Zurich (2%), Graz (2%) and York (1%).
