The leader of the Islamic State appears to have accepted the alliance with the Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram leader, as Reuters reports.

According to the news service, the decision was announced via an audio message by an associate of IS “caliph” Al-Bagdadi.

However, CNN estimates that the announcement is nothing more than further pressure on the government of Nigeria.
