Parents of pupils in a northern Turkey school are demanding that a religious class teacher be fired after she told some of her female students that they “deserve rape” for not wearing an Islamic headscarf, according to the mass daily “Hurriyet”.

Following the shocking statement, parents of the female students requested her dismissal.

The school’s principal reported that the teacher has already apologized, but the parents insisted on her dismissal, threatening that they will resort to the courts.
