Francophone Film Festival in Athens and Thessaloniki

French actress Karin Viard is expected to attend the screening of the event’s opener, Eric Lartigau’s La famille Belier

Francophone Film Festival returns to Athens and Thessaloniki for the 16th consecutive year, presenting films from Canada, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Tunisia.

Organized by the French Institute in Greece, the festival will run in Athens from March 19 to 25 before traveling to Thessaloniki from March 26 to April 1.

This year, more than 40 films will be screened during the event, ranging from awarded feature films to documentaries.

French actress Karin Viard is expected to attend the screening of the event’s opener, Eric Lartigau’s “La famille Belier” (The Belier Family), where she played the leading role.

A highly successful comedy in France, the movie tells the story of a teenage girl growing up in a deaf family, who discovers her talent for singing.
