The drawing competition for the poster Museum of Cycladic Art is taking place for the 3rd year in a row and gives young artists and culture buffs aged between 6 and 12 the chance to create a poster for the Museum’s Educational Programs for 2015-2016. The main element of the poster will be the marble head of a Cycladic Idol (2800-2300 BC). Currently the head only has a nose but we could imagine it with eyes, mouth, eyebrows and hair!
Young artists can design the Cycladic figure without restrictions, giving it hats, glasses, and a thorough makeover.
The museum will choose 30 winners, one for each of its years of operation. The 30 works will be featured in various posters for the programs that start in September. The winner of the competition will be entitled to a free entry to the Museum for his/her guardian by the end of 2015.
How to participate in the competition:
1. Print the sketch in an A4 paper
2. Paint the head as you wish
