Kammenos said that the “personal attacks” from the European Parliament president Martin Schulz and from German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel can be attributed to the fact that he insists on those claims and underlined that this is the third time that Mr. Schulz attacks him personally.

The Defense Minister added that he has always been very careful not to insult the German people. He also noted that the German government believes it can give orders to Greece, as if it was a subordinate country and not an equal partner.

Regarding the bribery cases of Greek officials by German armament companies, he said that they are in the hands of justice and that the Defense Ministry will hand over any information required by the authorities.
