Germany’s largest newspaper, Bild, known for its vitriolic attacks against the Greek government and, occasionally, the Greek people, seems to have had a change of heart about PM Tsipras.
So much so that, in view of the Greek Prime Minister’s visit to Berlin tomorrow, the German tabloid decided to welcome him with an issue… in Greek!
Only a few days ago, Bild had launched a media campaign asking readers to send in selfies showing themselves with the phrase “Nein” to Greece bailout extension.
Now, it writes on its front page “Welcome to Germany Mr. Tsipras” in Greek characters and hosts a feature article titled “50 reasons why Germans love Greek.”
