Gunmen barged at a Garissa University College in Kenya, near the border with Somalia, and attacked people at the university compounds. Two people manning the university gate have been killed as well as another 12 on the university grounds. There are many injuries.

Somali al-Shabab militants that have targeted Kenya over the past few years were responsible for the attacks.

Witnesses state that attackers stormed into the university during morning prayers.
