Greek luxury hotel where Angelina Jolie once stayed, now haunted (pics + vids)

The famous hotel is now lying in ruins and on sale for a bargain price

Newsroom August 3 08:15

Lakonis Hotel, one of the most luxurious vacation resorts in the Peloponnese, had a perfect blue-flag beach, exquisite views across the Aegean and the likes of visitors such as Angelina Jolie. Now, it lies in ruins, on sale for five million euros though with a bit of bargaining it could be sold at half that rate – just a fraction of the money it took to build.

Its spectacular circular atrium was a sign of luxury when it opened 13 years ago. Now it lies abandoned after its developer found himself unable to make bank payments.

The 100-room hotel has its own 900-foot secluded beach, a parking facility for 100 vehicles, and 59,000 square feet of buildings including 10 residential outbuildings, dedicated to the gods with names such as Artemis, Poseidon, Athena and Aphrodite.

The gods however did not protect the delapidated property that locals say is cursed. Now on the website homegreekhome.com, few people are keen to invest in it even at its bargain price.
