Greek PM Alexis Tsipras might be on the receiving end of harsh criticism on the domestic front, with former comrades accusing him and SYRIZA of treason, but he seems to be gaining more and more European allies. French President Francois Hollande praised Greek PM Alexis Tsipras for accepting the terms of the third bailout plan, in a speech to French diplomats in Paris. Hollande underlined Tsipras displayed ‘courage’ to accept the rescue plan proposed to him by the EU. The French President pointed out that it was in the hands of France and Germany to come up with the necessary reforms for the Eurozone. “There can be a financial conversion between the economies and we can fight for more rights, especially on the employment matters”, he said. He also stressed the need for setting up a common EU budget for investments of Eurozone member-states and implementing common fiscal and social policies.
