Alco polling company gives left SYRIZA a marginal 0.3% lead against conservative New Democracy (ND) in its newest poll published by news site ‘Newsit.gr’. According to the findings, SYRIZA received 25.3% of the vote, in comparison to New Democracy’s 25%, with extreme right nationalist party Golden Dawn coming in third with 6.2% of those polled saying they intended to vote for it. The Greek Communist party (KKE) received 5.7%; the Democratic Alignment, made up of PASOK and DIMAR got 4.7%, centrist Potami (River) received 4.2%, followed by Center Union with 3.7% and Popular Unity with 3%. SYRIZA’s junior coalition government partner does not make the 3% threshold necessary to enter the Greek parliament, as it get only 2.5. A large 10% of the respondents were recorded as undecided.
