An infant, a young child aged 6 years of age, and a woman drowned on Sunday in their attempt to reach the coast of the Greek isle of Lesvos at dawn on Sunday. Authorities report that a dinghy filled to the brim with 50 undocumented migrants and refugee battled with winds of seven on the Beaufort scale before their vessel crashed into a rocky area at Kara Tepe, north of the island and capsized. The rescued refugees state that another 13 people on the boat with them are missing. Coast guards and Frontex are searching the area trying to find the missing people.
