Hundreds of people started running from Le Carillon and Place de Republique and panic ensued though the reason remains unclear. The false alarm happened as a memorial service was being held at Notre Dame Cathedral to remember the victims of the Paris attacks at multiple areas around the city at dawn on Saturday that left 129 people killed and hundreds injured.
The ISIS-co-ordinated attacks at a stadium, a concert hall and Paris cafes resulted in the suicide deaths of seven suicide bombers, three of which were French citizens.
